As I’m sure you guessed it, this event was a huge food competition. It was a complete hospitality show of FOOD!   There were Emirati women whom started their own business making sweets and treats, showcasing their talents, as well as international chefs from across the roads cooking up great food.  I was so excited to take small bites of each plate, trying not to get full so that I could keep tasting for hours.

Bottomline… this is an amazing event for you, if you enjoy the aesthetics of beautifully prepared dishes, and enjoy devouring many free delicious foods. When I went back over the pictures I took of the event I realized I didn’t take any pictures of the Professional chefs dishes.  There was a rope keeping visitors away from the dishes until they were ready to start the tasting competition.  However the second the competition started everyone went crazy and wanted to grab all of the dishes.  So it was every man for themselves and we had to grab as quickly as possible. Therefore I forgot to take pictures 🙁

Here is a picture tour of our experiences that we did capture from this delicious event.

Chocolate Rose Flowers

Pistacho and Almond Blooming Sweets

These were beautifully executed. The red topping is rose jelly.. mmmm..  I award them with best in presentation for the baking category.

Imitation Starbucks Frappachino’s

These were my favorite.. they were some sort of coconut cream .. the dried rose petal on the top was edible as well.

 Don’t mind if i do!

Ice Sculpting Event.

Cooking Lessons

Promotions for Dubai Expo 2020!!!

This is completely made of frosting!! Oh how I would love to jump into that !

The Professionals!
There were Chefs from all around the world preparing bite size portions of their dishes for the competition.

And the breads…..

Now I know you are all wondering about the gold face masks… I know we did …
These are old fashion gold masks that the old school Emirati women used to wear.  You won’t find any of the younger generation women wearing them unless its National Day.
So they are are a real treat to see 🙂
Next person I know who has a baby girl is getting one of these in the mail.
