Welcome to Kyiv!!!!!
One of the most beautiful and friendly cities I have had the pleasure of traveling to.
This post will mostly consist of photos collected from all of the must see landmarks in the city of Kyiv. I spent seven days just wandering around the city sightseeing, eating, and shopping. It was a lovely experience, take a look!
Even though the embassy told us not to go near Independence Square… how could we resist?!?!?
There was some protesting inside of the square, as well as near the parliament building. They were not protesting in English so it was hard to figure out what the ranting and raving was about. But other then that Kyiv was a very peaceful city unlike the news publicises 😉
St. Nicolas Cathedral
Saint Sophia Cathedral
Kiev Pechersk Lavra
Take a look at this little guy we found in the park!
The opera house
The Holocaust Monument
Rodina Mat (Motherland)
THE HOUSE WITH CHIMERAS
While we were collecting our bags in the airport we met a Ukrainian girl named Lutfie. She introduced us to her whole family and showed us around Ukraine. They really made our trip memorable and special!
We definitely miss the food!!!
Chestnuts!!!! Chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Jack frost nipping at your nose.
